📅 Add to Google CalendarABOUT LIGHT POLLUTION
Artificial light at night is growing faster than ever, and it does more than just hide the stars—it affects wildlife and our own health, too. At Nightwise, we use events like this to help people reconnect with the beauty of the dark and find better ways to light our world without losing the night sky.
Ready to trade city lights for moonlight? On Sunday, 1 March, join us as we kick off a new season of Nightwise with a moonlit walk. It’s a simple chance to get away from the noise, stretch your legs, and see what the world looks like after the sun goes down.
The Journey Out
Our event starts at Luxembourg Gare, where we’ll catch the train together. Think of the ride as your buffer zone—a chance to decompress and watch the urban landscape fade away. By the time we hop off the train, the city noise will be a distant memory.
Once we arrive, we’ll settle in to watch the sunset from the open fields and catch the world transition from light to dark. Or almost. A nearly-full moon will brighten our path and make the walk unforgettable.
The Big Picture
Deep into the walk, we’ll find a spot to stop and look up. Even with a bright moon, we can appreciate the scale of the universe and enjoy the stillness.
If the clouds decide to join us, we still walk. The experience of the fresh air, the dark, and the shared company is what matters most, regardless of what’s happening above the clouds.
Why We Walk
This walk marks the start of a new season for Nightwise. Walking at night is a simple act, but it’s a rare chance to reconnect with natural rhythms and the quiet, steady presence of the world around us.
