What happens during the experience
Every session follows the sky rather than a fixed script. The objects we observe depend on the season, the Moon, the atmosphere and what is best placed above Luxembourg that evening.

We begin by slowing down and giving your vision time to adjust. You will notice how much more the sky reveals when glare and unnecessary light are left behind.

Nights in the Éislek can feel cold even during warmer months, particularly when standing still at a telescope.

Where does Guided Stargazing take place?
Sessions take place under darker skies in the Éislek region of northern Luxembourg. The exact meeting point is shared with participants after booking.
Do I need astronomy experience or my own telescope?
No. Nightwise provides the telescopes and guides you step by step. The experience is designed for complete beginners as well as curious observers who already know some of the sky.
What might we observe?
Targets depend on the season and conditions. They may include the Moon, planets, double stars, star clusters, nebulae and distant galaxies.
Is Guided Stargazing suitable for children?
Yes. Children can participate when accompanied and supervised by an adult. Participants under 16 must attend with an adult.
What happens if the weather is unsuitable?
Because the experience depends on the sky, the session may be rescheduled if clouds, rain or other conditions prevent meaningful observation. The applicable options are described in the Nightwise reschedule and refund policy.
Can I book a private or custom date?
Yes. Custom dates can be arranged for couples, families, private groups, companies, associations and tourism partners. Contact Nightwise with your preferred date, group size and language.
What should I bring?
Bring warm layers, sturdy outdoor shoes and, if you like, a hot drink. You do not need to bring a telescope or binoculars.
