Are the photographs in the Nightwise Gallery real?
Yes. Every image in the Nightwise Gallery is a real astrophotograph captured by us using our own telescopes and cameras. The images are not generated by artificial intelligence and the skies are not invented. Standard astrophotography calibration, stacking and careful processing are used to reveal genuine recorded detail.
What can I find in the Nightwise Gallery?
The gallery contains two curated collections. Deep Sky features galaxies, nebulae, star fields and distant astronomical structures. Nightscapes combine the visible night sky with landscapes, places and natural nocturnal environments.
What is deep-sky astrophotography?
Deep-sky astrophotography uses long exposures and astronomical equipment to record faint objects beyond the Solar System, including galaxies, nebulae and star clusters. Multiple exposures are normally calibrated, combined and carefully processed to reveal detail while respecting the astronomical data.
What is nightscape photography?
Nightscape photography brings the sky and the landscape into one image. It can reveal the Milky Way, stars and natural airglow above recognisable locations, showing the connection between astronomy, place and the quality of the nocturnal environment.
Were the Nightwise photographs taken in Luxembourg?
Many Nightwise nightscapes feature locations in Luxembourg, particularly the Éislek region. Deep-sky images show astronomical objects far beyond Earth, photographed with specialist equipment from our region.
